Beaches and Nature in Locmariaquer
A peninsula between the Gulf and the ocean, Locmariaquer is surrounded by numerous beaches, all easily accessible from the campsite.
Valy Beach: a beautiful family-friendly beach on the Gulf side.
La Falaise Beach: the campsite’s beach and the only supervised beach in the town, with a lifeguard station in July and August.
Saint-Pierre Beach: ideal for swimming even at low tide, and very popular in summer.
Rolay Beach: a protected natural site and a nesting area for the Kentish plover. Some areas are closed to protect the species.
Hiking, the GR34 and Cycle Paths
The legendary GR34, also known as the Customs Officers’ Path, follows the Breton coastline for more than 2,000 km. In Locmariaquer, it offers exceptional views of cliffs, beaches and the sea.
Cyclists and hikers will also enjoy the many walking and cycling paths throughout the town.
