The Gulf of Morbihan and its islands
One of the most beautiful bays in the world
The Gulf of Morbihan is a true protected inland sea and the Regional Natural Park is a must-see destination for a holiday in Southern Brittany. This natural gem is dotted with iconic islands and islets such as Île d’Arz, Gavrinis and Île Berder.
According to legend, the Gulf has as many islands as there are days in the year. In reality, there are around forty islands, about thirty of which are inhabited, offering an exceptional heritage and landscape.
Among them, Île-aux-Moines, known as the Pearl of the Gulf of Morbihan, is not to be missed.
With its flower-filled lanes, sandy beaches, panoramic views over the Gulf and peaceful atmosphere, it is a favourite destination for visitors looking for a change of scenery, cycling and seaside walks.
Not to be missed: a cruise on the Gulf of Morbihan (information available at the campsite reception).
If you are looking for an escape and authentic landscapes in Brittany, discover the islands of Houat and Hoëdic on a day trip.
These two Breton islands offer an unspoilt natural setting, with fine sandy beaches, wild coves and scenic coastal paths.
Easy to explore on foot, Houat and Hoëdic are perfect for hiking, nature and sustainable tourism enthusiasts. Ideal for a refreshing day trip from the Breton coast, they promise a unique experience in the heart of the Atlantic Ocean.
